Researchers 3D print the world's first house with biological materials
12/01/2023
Researchers at the University of Maine (USA) have provided a promising and environmentally friendly response to the affordable housing crisis.
The entire house, from the ceiling to the walls, was printed with the Ingersoll MasterPrint installed at the university's Center for Composites and Advanced Structures, using a material known as wood flour, wood fiber sawdust, residue from sawmills, mixed with a binder made from corn.
The next step is to scale up the printing process.
